Pledge Signatures
- Name (or alias)
- County
- Age range
- Optional contact information (email/WhatsApp)
- IP address (for security and preventing duplicates)
Broken Promise Reports
- Leader information (name, position, location)
- Promise details and failure description
- Evidence (links or uploaded files)
- Optional reporter name and contact
- IP address (for preventing abuse)
Ambassador Applications
- Full name, email, phone number
- County and institution
- Age range
- Reason for applying and experience
- Social media handles (optional)
Contact Form Messages
- Name and email address
- Subject and message content
Usage Data
- Anonymous analytics (page views, clicks, time on site)
- Browser type and device information
- Referral source
- We do NOT sell this data to third parties
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To display pledge counts and movement statistics — Anonymously aggregated data showing the strength of the movement.
- To verify and publish broken promise reports — Reports are added to leader scorecards to hold them accountable.
- To contact you — About your pledge, report, or ambassador application (if you provided contact info).
- To improve our platform — Analyzing usage patterns to make TukoKadi better.
- To prevent abuse — Detecting and preventing fraudulent or malicious activity.
- To comply with legal obligations — When required by law enforcement or court order.
3. Anonymity & Data Sharing
Broken promise reports are published on leader pages, but reporter identities remain anonymous unless you explicitly choose to include your name.
Aggregated statistics (e.g., "1.2 million pledges from Nairobi") may be shared publicly or with researchers, but no individual identifying information is included.
We may share data with:
- Service providers — Companies that help us operate our platform (hosting, email sending) under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Research partners — Anonymized datasets for academic research on political accountability.
- Law enforcement — Only when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption. We use industry-standard measures to protect against unauthorized access, including:
